Who is Physicians Online?
Physicians Online is a Medical Billing, Statement Processing and Practice Website design & automation company located in Jacksonville, Florida. We’ve been in business since 1993.
What is a Practice Website?
Your Practice Website is a dedicated practice management tool that provides your patients with a more efficient way to interact with your office via the internet. It comes complete with proven efficiency and functionality such as: an Appointment Request Module, a Prescription Refill Request Module, Secure Online Bill paying, and much, much more.
Why does my practice need a website?
Chances are, that the majority of your Patients are now online either at home, work or school. This website is just a simple interface for your existing or new patients to view information about your practice without having to call your office. The information available to them includes: Office Hours, Directions to your office, Insurance Plans accepted, Physician information and much, much more. All of these features come standard with your Practice Website.
How much will my website cost?
For a VERY limited time only, the all-inclusive cost for your Practice Website is $727 a year equating to less than $2 a day. A similarly functional website would cost tens of thousands of dollars to create from scratch.
Will my Staff need any website training?
No! We’ve made setting up your website a step-by-step process. There is no HTML or other programming skills required to create, update or even modify your website. If you can use a simple word processor, you can make any and all changes to your website from the Admin Panel. We’ve even included customized, step-by-step instructional videos for each of the different Admin Panel sections which is where you will create and edit any of your website changes.
How long does it take to get my website up and running?
To create your own website using our set-up wizard takes on average between 20 – 30 minutes. Once your site is registered onto the Internet, it usually takes between 24 - 48 hours for your new website address to propagate over the worldwide web.
What if I need help setting up my website?
If at any time you get stuck or if you just don’t think that you can do this on your own, simply call our support line at (800) 721-9545 between the hours of 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST and we will be more than happy to walk you through the process!
How do we obtain and register our website domain name?
Step one of the set-up process is to come up with a website name and to confirm that the name you’ve chosen is available. If it is, we will register the domain name for you. If the name you’ve chosen is not available, we will contact you with some other suggested website names.
What if I already have a website name? Can I use that name?
Of course! Simply type your website domain name in the first box of the domain name search boxes in Step 1 of your website setup. When finished setting up your website, you will need to contact our technical support line at: (800) 721-9545 in order for us to “point” your existing website name to your new website.
What is a Merchant Account?
A Merchant Account is basically a credit card processing company. In order for your patient credit card payments to get deposited into your practice’s bank account, you need to setup a Merchant Account. Our preferred Merchant Account vendor is MerchantPlus®. They have no hidden fees or minimums and guarantee the best rates available anywhere for online credit card processing. You’ll find a website link to their “New Accounts” website page during your new website setup.
What if I already have a credit card machine in my office? Can I use the same credit card processing company I’m already using?
Absolutely! Please call our technical support line at (800) 721-9545 and we will get you setup to use your existing merchant account with your new website.
Will my website be searchable on the internet?
Yes, we will submit your website to all of the major search engines for inclusion. This "search optimization" also includes submission to both Yahoo® and Google® and is included with your website set-up at no additional charge.
Will my website tools be HIPAA compliant?
Absolutely! The patient request and/or payment information is entered into dynamic forms which reside inside of your website’s Secure Administration Console. Because this information is encrypted, password protected and never available for viewing outside of your site’s secure area, it remains HIPAA compliant.
